The app ensures that training is undertaken that matches the employee workspace type, so that employees are empowered to work safely in their chosen place of work.

As an employer, you have a legal duty towards your employee wellbeing. This is currently an obligation in the UK, but European laws are also gradually applying the same rules for the EU, therefore making the same obligation in France or any EU country.

While being a legal requirement, there are advantages to going further by having an advanced policy in place due to current Workplace trends, Work-Life balance discussion, Edge on competition in Talent acquisition.

Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) represent by far the biggest cause of occupational illnesses requiring compensation. The beginnings of this "epidemic" were announced in France in the early 90's, with a steady increase in occupational diseases compensated by the national security system. They now rank second among medical causes of invalidity, after psychiatric ailments, and rank first among first-category causes of invalidity (invalids "capable of carrying out a remunerated activity").

In 2015, in France, limbs Musculoskeletal Disorders and Lower back pain represented 87% of occupational diseases recognized by the general system, with more than 3/4 of recognized occupational diseases.
Musculoskeletal Disorders are also the leading source of lost workdays lost due to sick leave , with more than 10 million workdays in 2015.

Due to their frequency and their medical, functional as well as professional consequences (in terms of reduced aptitude or even unfitness for the job and risk of disruption in working life), MSDs constitute one of the greatest concerns in occupational health in industrialized countries.

What are MSDs (musculoskeletal disorders) at work?
Now that we have defined in our previous FAQ where the main causes of sick leave came from, let's find out the different Musculoskeletal issues (MSKs) linked to the workplace.
The main body areas affected by MSK issues are Neck, Shoulders, Wrists and Spine. MSDs of the lower limbs are rarer and mainly linked to the knee.

Musculoskeletal issues are issues that affect joints, muscles and tendons. Tendinopathy, carpal tunnel syndrome in the wrist, elbow epicondylitis, knee hygroma are some examples. They are expressed by pain but also by stiffness, clumsiness or loss of strength. Whatever their location, MSK issues can become irreversible and lead to lasting disability. To avoid those diseases not to become chronic, they must be diagnosed and managed early.

Who should use the service ?
The overall cost of ill-being at work is about € 13,500 per year and per employee, 20% of this amount is considered incompressible, but companies can act on the quality of life at work to improve their social performance, which represents a source of competitiveness of 80% of the global impact.

By using Agileapp, as an employer you will be able to manage all DSE assessment of your employees, improve your data gathering process and improve your employee experience in your company. And more importantly, you will improve your employee experience and its wellbeing at work.

By using Agileapp, you can reduce your musculoskeletal costs by 50% and improve your employee wellbeing by 100%, making all your employees aware their company is taking care of their health and safety in the best possible manner.
What are the benefits for my company ?
With terms like "hot desking", "home working" and "mobile working" there are many work settings within office workplaces.

Agile working is meant to empower and support people to work where, when and how they choose to maximise their productivity, innovation and ultimately to deliver best value to the organisation.

But if organisations neglect the work environment, especially when individuals are no longer sticking to one desk, the risks of improper setups can impact the level of engagement.

It quickly leads to disengagement when employees do not think that the company is taking care of them. And those risks particularly increase in an agile environment.

Poorly designed workstations or work environments can result in fatigue, eye strain, musculoskeletal issues (MSK) such as upper limb problems and backache.

With an appropriate solution, costs related from those risks can be significantly decreased.

Workplace assessments helps you manage the potential health problems by
        identifying the risks
ensuring health and safety controls are practical
increasing the level of commitment to working in a healthy way

With Agileapp, users are engaged in the process from the beginning:
by describing their own work environment through their personalised profile panel.
by undertaking tutorials specifically related to their own environment.

Whether you work in a dedicated office, an open-plan office, an agile working office, at home, or on the go… Agileapp will allow you to
        Manage different profiles
        Keep your profile updated
Refresh your knowledge on the go

As a result, the employer can warn the employees involved as soon as possible, and therefore contribute to an active management of isolation and self-isolation if this is recommended by the company's health authorities.

Mental Health issues are heavily accentuated in a context of prolonged and compulsory Homeworking period.

Indeed, the confinement required by the COVID 19 pandemic situation is generally seen as an aggravating factor of Mental Health issues among all employees:
        • Reduction of social ties, social interactions
        • Loss of personal relationship with managements , thanks to communication / (reports only done by email, phone or webcam
        • Increased difficulty in conflict resolution
        • Additional stress due to partial / total unemployment, thanks to linked to economic environment deterioration

When an employer deals with hyper-mobile employees, who find themselves in changing work environments, it is even more necessary for the employer to measure and monitor the mental health, as well as the potential risks of this population.
Forced confinement linked to the COVID 19 pandemic is therefore an aggravating factor to the employee situation, as well as to any person confined.
By using the various assessment available and used in quantitative psychopathology, it is possible to assess the intensity and nature of the anxiety syndrome.

Agilea, thanks to its technology, can support you through the production of adequate questionnaires, allowing you to monitor your employees on a regular basis and help you mapping those risks in your organisation.

Alert Function: a fundamental call to action

At the end of the process, a remedial strategy designed to respond to the requests expressed by certain individuals, with the following wishes :

        • "I wish to be put in touch with a psychiatrist"
        • "I would like to benefit from spiritual help (man of the Church). , imam ...) "
        • " I would like a support process to be offered (work psychology, ergonomics, etc.) "
        • " I think I need help, but I don't know who to turn to"
        can be processed.

While most of the tools are primarily diagnostic tools with the following steps : we evaluate, we measure, additional steps are rarely carried out, resulting in a "the drawer strategy" , a strategy where problems are quite often hidden in a drawer until the following study…

Agilea is the tool which links the person, his issues and his referent.
